How MaxDup finds the same customer hiding in different records
Exact-match deduplication only catches the easy duplicates. MaxDup looks for the ones that were typed differently, stored differently and collected by different systems, then lets your team decide.
Matching rules
Configurable rules, not a black box
You decide what counts as a duplicate. MaxDup applies configurable matching rules at the level that fits the job, and processes company and individual names at the same time, so a person and the business they work for are each matched correctly.

Fuzzy logic
Catches the duplicates exact matching misses
Most duplicates aren’t identical. Someone mistyped a name, abbreviated a street, or skipped a unit number. MaxDup uses fuzzy logic to find records that are close enough to be the same customer, including duplicates created by incorrect data entry.

Beyond names and addresses, matching can also draw on other fields you hold, such as phone numbers, area codes and Social Security numbers.
Address standardization
Standardized addresses make more matches possible
“123 Main Street Apt 4” and “123 MAIN ST #4” are the same place, but not the same text. MaxDup standardizes addresses internally before comparing them, which raises the chance of finding a valid match. The standardization runs on Anchor’s CASS™-certified postal address logic.
